After volunteering to be a student for an artist friend, George began to paint. He was surprised by how much he enjoyed the experience. He has acquired an appreciation for an ever-increasing spectrum of approaches and styles. Ever inquisitive he reads about art, visits galleries and exhibits, revisits the haunts of youth, but is always experimenting. A Canadian artist and oil painter, he works equally in the studio and in plain air. In recent years he has been making painting trips with other artists. This practice, along with teaching, has provided a constant source of inspiration.
George has shown in various exhibitions across Canada.
